Issues Russia

There are many reasons why an individual lies, including: i) an error of understanding. ii) an effort to misdirect. iii) an inability to tell the truth. iv) a poorly articulated statement that is interpreted as a lie. and v) an attempt to cover up.

Trump has frequently stated that the U.S negative position towards Russia is counter productive. Since then Trump's critics, in particular the liberal media, have taken to interpreting all information/facts re Russian contact to impugn him. While Trump's advocates, in particular the right wing media and his base, have steadfastly refused to admit that there could be a problem.

Whose dance is it ?

There is a reason for Trump's inconsistent statements about Putin and Russia.

Has our President been compromised by Russia? Either politically, in his business relations or his personal life? Is Trump deceived? Is this a liberal media who can not accept Trump's victory? Is this really ALL plain political posturing for 2020?

Ret. LTG Flynn, Director of Defense Intelligence, resigned over Russia. AG Jeff Sessions, is to recuse himself from all investigations related to Russia.  McClatchy article validates Russia diplomat recalled as alleged by Christoper Steele, ex MI6, in his leaked dossier.

The truth always exists. We will find it and publish it in a simple organized way. So that those who want to see, can see. And those who want to hear, can hear.

There is a lot of information that needs to be collected and organized. This is not a tweet. The American public deserve accurate research and careful analysis of the facts if they are to make an informed decision on if/how Putin interfered in our political system, and if/how President Trump and/or his campaign were involved.

Any evidence of people being induced/coerced to lie under oath, especially to Congress or the FBI, over Trump's business/other dealings in Russia, are serious allegations. For this is the same obstruction of justice that ended President Nixon's career.

Political: analysis begins when Trump announced his Presidential bid - June 16th 2015.

This Trump Russia Timeline by Politico gives a helpful timeline to events. Democrats claim that Russian hacked information disrupted American democracy, undermined the Clinton campaign and assisted the Trump campaign. They claim that the FBI began an investigation into activities between the Trump campaign and Russia in July 2016.

Republicans claim that the allegation of Russian hacking and Russian collusion are a politcal attempt to disrupt the Trump Presidency. House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes claims, in a recently released memo to the White House, that the FBI used politically  tainted information, in particular the  Christoper Steele, ex MI6, leaked dossier, to obtain a FISA warrant to listen in on Carter Page. By inference to his conversations with Donald Trump, and potentially to a much broader audience.

The 10-page Schiff document released Saturday reads: “FBI and DOJ officials did not ‘abuse’ the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) process, omit material information or subvert this vital tool to spy on the Trump campaign.”

An interactive Trump Russia Timeline written by Steven Harper which dates to 1979 when Roy Cohn introduced Trump to Nixon ‘Dirty Trickster’ Roger Stone. The site includes an ability to select information about specific individuals.

Aug 2017: Here is the testimony by Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson, released publicly by California Sen. Dianne Feinstein, given to the Senate Judiciary Committee on August 22, 2017. Adding to the speculation on why Fusion GPS was paid, and by whom, to hire Christopher Steele.

Speculation on the outcome of the investigation is futile. Cable news and its advertisers may enjoy their political reality TV. But congress is being deadlocked. American is pitted again American. The media is accused of fake news. Intelligence agencies are discredited. The FBI, NSA and DOJ have stated that Obama did not order a wire tap of Trump Tower. But what about an illicit FISA warrant on Carter Page?

It is only by studying the political facts that one can objectively evaluate if Trump has been politically compromised.

Financial: analysis begins with Trumps attending the Miss Universe Pageant in Moscow - November 2013.

Trump's interest in Russian property development dates to 1987 when he visited Moscow and St. Petersburg at the invitation of the Soviet ambassador to the U.S. In 2008, Donald Jr. visited Moscow to explore licensing the Trump name to properties there, according to the Russian newspaper Kommersant. The paper also reported that, a few years earlier, Trump had considered aiding the reconstruction of the city’s Moskva and Rossiya hotels.

Trump claims that almost all Russian oligarchs, and all with ties to Putin, attended the Miss Universe pageant. This specifically included Aras Agalarov, billionaire Russian real estate mogul, and Agalarov’s son Emin. Alex Sapir and Rotem Rosen, a pair of New York-based Russian developers who helped to develop the Trump Soho hotel and condominium project in Manhattan.

There is growing evidence that allegations of Igor Sechin, the CEO of Rosneft (Russia's state oil company) offered Trump ally Carter Page and his associates brokerage of a 19% stake in the company in exchange for the lifting of US sanctions on Russia. Reuters have since reported that sale of 19.5% of Rosneft was concluded for 10.2 billion Euros, to a Singapore joint venture between Qatar and the Swiss oil trading firm Glencore, via shell companies cloaking disclosure of the buyers.

Trump is vulnerable to view Russia in ways that optimize his business interests. This could be through existing relationships that would benefit from sanctions being eased. e.g. Crimea policy in the 2016 Republican convention. It could be through relationships that will bear fruit after his Presidency in exchange for favorable decisions during his Presidency. What father would not want to leave a Trump political and financial dynasty for his children and the generations to come.

It is only by studying the financial facts that one can objectively evaluate if Trump has been financially compromised.

Personal: analysis begins with Donald Trumps divorce from  Ivana Trump - finalized in 1992.

Donald Trump was born into money. He has lived his life flaunting moral law. He has used his wealth, power and connections to get whatever he wants. And now Donald J Trump is President of the United States. The most powerful man in the free world.

Gartner, a psychologist in private practice, in Baltimore and New York, a former instructor in psychiatry at Johns Hopkins, contends that Trump “manifestly” meets the DSM-published criteria for at least three personality disorders: narcissistic personality disorder (NPD), antisocial personality disorder, and paranoid personality disorder.

Trump's lies may in fact be Trump's emotionally perceived truths. I suggest that Trump is not able to assimilate information that conflicts with his self identity, including: i) He is always right; ii) The majority of American's love him; iii) He alone can make America great again. He needs to think fake photographs, fake news and fake voters to defend his own fake truths. On issues like the inauguration size, the size of his electoral win, the factual accuracy of the media, even Obama wire-tapping his building, the American political system will ride out the fake seas.

Emotional disorders are an issue when incorrect decisions are taken in response to an emotional error. The executive order banning travel from 7 Moslem countries in order to improve security is such an example. Experienced experts suggest the ban increases security risk. The courts have since placed a stay on these orders.

If Trump's emotional condition leads him to think Russia is our friend, for any one of political, personal or business reasons, and to bolster his emotional self identity as suggested above, Trump could mistakenly decide to lift sanctions, or ignore aggressive conduct by Russia, with long term disastrous results for America, Europe and its NATO allies.

It is only by studying the personal facts that one can objectively evaluate if Trump has been personally compromised.

Legal: analysis begins with original links to legal filings by congress, FBI or the Justice Department.

It is only by studying the legal facts that one can objectively evaluate if Trump has been legally compromised.

I sincerely believe that President Trump loves America unconditionally.

Forty years ago my life was changed as America, distracted by Vietnam, Watergate and the liberal election agenda of 1976, took its eyes off Russia and its opportunistic designs on Southern Africa, leveraging Cuba and the political churn as Angola sought independence from Portugal. Only a committed CIA, Kissinger's secret funds, and a determined South Africa prevented Russia from expanding into Southern Africa. Securing the wealth Russia desperately needed from the gold, diamonds, emeralds, uranium and other natural resources of the continent.

Now 40 years later we have Putin's Russia. Actively involved in: i) interference in Crimea; ii) recovering territory in Europe; iii) exploiting nuclear deals with Iran and North Korea; iv) extensive military operations in the Middle East; seeking to restore its former glory.

Putin is manipulating America, and continues to interfere in our political discourse, in ways he could never have imagined possible. He knows every move Trump and his campaign made and who knows how he is using this. Each new factoid uncovered by Special Council Robert Mueller drives another wave of liberal media frenzy. Republicans begin each day on the defense. We face the possibility of a Democrat controlled congress impeaching our President. Possibly for cause, and as probably as a political play for the 2020 elections.

Today we live in a 24x7 New Media instant news cycle. But we are no better informed. There is too much news. And it takes an astute reader to discern the fake news from the facts. Let alone to interpret what the facts mean. Yet in the midst of this, we need to know the real issues with Russia and their latest aspirations more than ever!

This week Trump announced that his plans to withdraw from Syria. To draw down American presence in Afghanistan. Secretary of defense Jim Mattis, who by all accounts has been a stabilizing force in the administration, has resigned in protest. Read his scathing letter of resignation ==> to get an inside view of Trump's head. Add this to, "Trump had the understanding of “a fifth- or sixth-grader,” according to Woodward’s book", puts any  belief in Romans 8:28, "that all things work for the good ..." to some test!

It is impossible to know what is motivating these sudden/impulsive decisions to withdraw America from the Middle East. BY which he is effectively surrendering power to Russia, Turkey, IRAN and ISIS. There could be many reasons for this: i) Trump's personal/financial interests in Russia; ii) campaign promises to pull out of stupid wars; iii) to distract America from the Mueller investigation; iv) counter intuitive instinct to bring peace; or v) some combination of some or all of these.

And in the midst of this unfolding crisis the Government has shut down over trivia, specifically 5 billion dollars and a questionable wall with Mexico.

Please can we learn from the past and keep our eye on the ball. Specifically, please can we make sure that whatever happens we are not caught with our pants down again. As we were 40 years ago! Russia is not our friend.
